How do we hold ourselves accountable?

In this session, we’ll ask ourselves how we – people who’ve internalized (harmful) masculinity – can hold ourselves accountable for when we crossed someone’s boundaries.
Transgressive behavior is not only done by the monsters among men, it happens every day, and is done by everyone of us. Sometimes boundaries are vague and maybe you think it’s just a ‘joke’, sometimes boundaries are more clear and still you decide to continue.
What do we need to do to hold ourselves and each other accountable for our harmful behavior? Note: in this session we will be talking about the lower layers of the piramid of gender-based violence and not ask to share severe forms of transgressive behavior, like sexual assault.
We hope to create a space in which we can all be open, honest and vulnerable so that we can share experiences that help us to hold ourselves and each other accountable. For this session, too, we explicitly invite people who’ve internalized harmful masculinities.
